These seven temples, founded between the 7th and 9th centuries, are centers of faith, spiritual practice, and monk community life, showing the historical development of Korean Buddhism. Various Korean Buddhist beliefs were accepted in the grounds of mountain temples, and this is well preserved in historical structures, halls, relics, and documents.
