The 2024 Andong International Mask Dance Festival will provide a special travel venue where you can meet masks and mask dances from all over the world, across the five oceans and six continents, with the theme of “Cultural Dances that Make the World One.” Masks
and mask dances are the most common and universal cultures of mankind, symbolizing human life, dreams, and hope. Through masks and mask dances, we aim to create a world where everyone is equal and free and equal without distinction of status. We also aim to unite the people of the world by creating a place of harmony and unity where people can communicate with each other through various performances.
When you wear a mask, anyone can realize a world where they are free and equal, and you can meet a new self through an extraordinary time and space.
Through me, we can get to know ourselves, and through us who are united, humanity can become one.
The 2024 Andong International Mask Dance Festival has selected the theme to realize a true festival where people from all over the world can participate through the meaning of masks and mask dances.
