About
Hamyang Geoyeonjeong is a pavilion located in Seoha-myeon, Hamyang-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do. It was designated as Tangible Cultural Property No. 433 of Gyeongsangnam-do on October 13, 2005.
Hwarimjae Jeonseo, who served as Dongjijungchubusa, built Seosan Seowon around 1640 and built the first pavilion made of reeds at the current Geoyeonjeong location next to it.
Geoyeonjeong is located in the stream in front of Bongjeon Village, about 9km away from Anui-myeon, Hamyang-gun along National Road No. 26 toward Jeonju. This is the valley of Hwarim-dong, and it is a place that combines with Nongwoljeong, Geoyeonjeong, and Yongyudam to form a spectacular view. Geoyeonjeong is built as a single-story building on the rock of Namgangcheon that flows in front of Bongjeon Village.
It is located on the Hamyang Scholar Culture Trail, so if you stop by while trekking, you can take a break and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
