Yongduam is a volcanic rock about 10m high located on the beach near Yongdam Rotary, Yongdam 2-dong, Jeju-si, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province. Yongduam is a landform formed when the lava channel left after the lava flowed was eroded by waves, reaching a height of 10m. The surrounding area of ​​Yongduam is also a landform that was formed in the same way. It is called Yongduam because the shape of the rock resembles a dragon's head. Yongduam is estimated to be a layer of lava from about 500,000 to 600,000 years ago, and all the exposed rocks are red basalt. This Yongduam is a valuable natural heritage with geological research value because it was created when lava spewed upward. If you walk along the entire beach near Yongduam, you will be completely absorbed in the beauty of the rocks.
