The 8-day procession from Changdeokgung Palace to Yungneung was a communication spirit based on King Jeongjo's love for the people, an example of encouraging filial piety, and a politics of empathy that sought to understand the lives of the people and share their suffering. Since these efforts were conveyed to all the people, it was able to sublimate into a joyful national festival with all the people.
The King Jeongjo Procession Reenactment Event will be jointly reenacted by Seoul, Suwon, and Hwaseong, and Gyeonggi-do will also participate, providing an even richer and more magnificent spectacle.
