<Seoul Light DDP 2024 Fall>, a large-scale media art project that will brighten up the heart of downtown Seoul, will be held on the 222m-long façade of Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) from August 29 for 11 days. The theme of <Seoul Light DDP 2024 Fall>, which celebrates the 10th anniversary of the opening of DDP, is “Future Log,” and it will harmoniously express the moments of records that connect the past, present, and future. It will showcase the 40-year journey of the world-renowned Korean artist ‘Soohwa Kim Hwan-ki’ on a single screen. We hope that our passion will be revived as we watch his passion for finally drawing the future he dreamed of through daily efforts and perseverance. In addition, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of DDP, the rising media art label ‘VERSEDAY’ will send an invitation to people around the world. It will look back on the records of the past 10 years and present works that introduce DDP in the most DDP-like way. Through this invitation to artists and visitors around the world, we envision a future where DDP will take off as a global DDP. This will be a special opportunity to illuminate the new face of the city, dyed in the art of light, <Seoul Light DDP 2024 Fall>, at DDP, which connects the past, present, and future.
