Overview

Wolgwang Riverside Park is a popular eco-friendly park built around the Dowon Reservoir. Known as a "Healing Space" for Daegu citizens, it features a scenic wooden deck trail over the water, lush greenery, and various sports facilities. The park's name, meaning "Moonlight," reflects its status as a premier spot for evening strolls and its symbolic connection to the First Full Moon of the Lunar Year festivals.

History

Originally a reservoir for agricultural use, the area was transformed into a waterside park in 2000 to provide a leisure space for the rapidly growing Dalseo-gu district. It has since undergone several upgrades, including the installation of a massive musical fountain and accessible barrier-free trails, earning it a reputation as one of the best "Wedding Photo Spots" and family-friendly parks in the city.
