This is an artificial forest created when the beautiful Choi Chi-won was the governor of Hamyang during the reign of Queen Jinseong of Silla. Choi Chi-won built a dam to prevent flooding, diverted the river to its current location, built a dam along the riverbank, and planted trees along the dam to create the forest that continues to this day. It is currently designated as a natural monument and managed. You can enjoy the magnificent scenery of Sangrim Park throughout the four seasons, including spring, summer, fall, and winter. It is especially spectacular when the azaleas and lotuses bloom. There is a museum at the entrance to the park, making it a great place for families to travel. There are also famous bakeries and cafes around the park, so you can enjoy a variety of foods.
