Overview

Busan Children's Grand Park is a comprehensive park complex located at the foot of Baegyangsan Mountain. Centered around the historic Seongjigok Reservoir, the park offers a perfect blend of lush retinispora (cypress) forests and modern educational facilities. History

The park's centerpiece, the Seongjigok Reservoir, was originally completed in 1909 as Korea's first concrete gravity dam for water supply. In 1971, the area was designated as a park, and it officially opened as "Children's Grand Park" in 1978 to commemorate the International Year of the Child. Since then, it has evolved into a key urban green space, removing its amusement rides in the late 2000s to focus on being an ecological and forest-centric park.
