Overview

Jamsil Baseball Stadium is the largest professional baseball stadium in South Korea and a symbol of the KBO League. It serves as the shared home ground for two of the most popular teams, the LG Twins and the Doosan Bears. With a capacity of approximately 25,000 spectators, it offers an electrifying atmosphere, especially during the legendary 'Jamsil Derby' between the two home teams.

History

Opened in July 1982 to host the World Baseball Championship, the stadium also played a significant role as a venue for the 1988 Seoul Olympics. Over the decades, it has witnessed the history of Korean baseball, from the inception of the professional league to numerous international triumphs. It remains the most visited and iconic stadium in the country despite the rise of newer facilities.
